Audio Perception is an experimental project about how people perceive sounds. Ten ambiguous sounds were put together in a video for people to hear and they were asked what they think the sound is. The results were varied and using those results, I drew three to four different responses the participants had to each sound. Then, I animated those drawings to the original sound to compare how different the response was based on a person's perception and viewers can see how they thought the sound given might be their response. Despite every participant not being influenced by someone else also participating, for some sounds the response was the same with seven out of ten people writing the same sound. Other times, every response was different. The project was fueled by my own curiosity about how much a person’s individual experiences and thoughts shape how they perceive something.
